We love travelling! More often than not, the highlight of our travels are found off the beaten track, or wherever the creative community can be found coming together. Here are a couple of our favourite discoveries.

PMQ

Where and what

Soho, Central, Hong Kong. The historic PMT apartments (Former Police Married Quarters), was revitalised into a creative design hub.

Offer 

Home to 100+ local young ‘create-preneurs’. Explore design galleries, bookstores, shops and office units across several 27-storey buildings. 

Perfect For

Finding that unique gift for the creative in your life, and not the usual touristy tack. 

 

Boxpark

Where and what

Shoreditch, London, UK. Retail precinct designed by Andrew Waugh, made up of 61 shipping containers. 

Offer

Underground fashion designers and independent brands. Check out the musical performances, creative workshops and exhibitions that pop up on the rooftop too.

Perfect For

The fashionista who likes discovering new designers, or wants to stay away from the high street.


The Archway

Where and What

1 Katherine Place, Melbourne, Victoria. Curated by BrandWorks, this food destination makes use of a laneway space, under the cover of an old Melbourne art deco style archway.

Offer

Home to six of Melbourne’s local food artisans, from coffee, juices, tarts and macarons, to Indian, Taiwanese and freshly made New York style bagels. 

Perfect For

The foodie who wants to try a little of everything Melbourne has to offer. 


Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

Where and what

Yokohama, Japan. Previously home to the Customs Inspection House in the early 1920’s, the red brick buildings have been transformed into a vibrant retail precinct.

Offer

Two buildings, with three floors each of cafes, restaurants and local retail, as well as seasonal events ie. ice skating rink in winter, Octoberfest and music concerts in Summer.
